Love this butter dish! Made of porcelain. It came packaged well. Boxed nicely inside a larger box. Love the country feel of this beautiful piece. I was skeptical when I ordered this but thought I would try it. I am very pleased with this butter dish and I love how well the butter stands up. I have filled it twice and my butter is lasting a week with no separation and it remains very fresh.
During the first week we had an average temperature of 105 and I changed the water daily (placed ice cubes) In and it has worked very well. I may order another one soon so I will always have one available as I like it that well and do not want to be without it.
