My house is always cold (in the 60s degrees) in the winter. Butter left on the counter was still too hard to spread. This has worked wonders. Butter is soft & spreadable. I love it.

I posted a negative review of the incorrect product. The Dowan butter crock arrived quickly and was packaged securely. It performs as advertised, keeping the butter very soft and spreadable. I have no problems and would recommend the crock for anyone who wants to keep fresh spreadable butter on the counter.

I like the fact that butter can be spread easily. I worry about the fact that in summer it may still not be cool enough to keep butter from melting. To avoid that issue, I tend to put the crock in the fridge when I'm not planning to use it. I have tried to add ice and cold water more frequently but I'm not able to stay on top of that all of the time.

Its really easy to use, just fill it up with butter and add you water in the red part and leave it set. Its nice to have my butter all ready when im eating my mornimg toast. Really easy to clean i just leave it set in really warm water for an hour an then wash cit clean

Good material & bigger than initially expected. Fits a stick of butter. Spreader is quite rigid & has somewhat sharp edges that make it very effective to cut through the butter even when cold.

This crock works perfectly. The butter keeps fresh in hot weather. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I'm not crazy about the design. But the price is right and the color is cheerful. Very nice.
